After inducting several big names including the likes of Jaguar designer Wayne BurgessYong S Kim from Kia Motors India and Jaime Ardila of GM among others, Ola Electric has recently roped in John O'Connor, former VP – Cars at Tata Motors, as its  vice-president for Car Projects.

O'Connor will be based in Coventry, UK and will travel to India as and when work demands. He is a mechanical engineer by profession and has an MBA from Warwick Business School. It has been reported that Ola Electric has seen several top-level exits in recent months.

Despite a rocky start to its foray in the electric vehicle space Ola Electric is deploying an aggressive strategy to be a robust player in the nascent EV space.

Ola Electric Mobility was one of four companies selected last month for incentives under the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery Storage.
